Adventureland is best known for it's architecture, atmosphere and landscaping which is derived from places such as the Caribbean, Asia, Mexico, and Brazil.   From the minute you cross the bridge from Main Street, U.S.A. to Adventureland you will be entering a whole new world.  You will see a lush tropical paradise, hear beating drums in the background and enjoy yourself on some of the most popular attractions in The Magic Kingdom such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Jungle Cruise.  Shops in Adventureland sell a variety of merchandise such as pirates hats, sombreros, piņatas, and clothing with a safari theme.

The Swiss Family Treehouse
The Swiss Family Treehouse is a replica of the treehouse that the Robinson's lived in (from the movie Swiss Family Robinson) including all the rooms, the pulley system that uses bamboo buckets and a waterwheel to provide water to the top of the tree. The treehouse itself is made up of over 800,000 fabricated leaves, flowers, and buds. The tree is also covered with a coat of real Spanish moss.
RECENTLY RENOVATED: The Swiss Family Treehouse just recently underwent a year long renovation which replaced many of the 800,000 fabricated leaves.

Jungle Cruise
This attraction, inspired by the by the 1955 film documentary The African Lion takes guests through the wild jungles of the world. Guests will encounter a variety of species such as elephants bathing, lions, zebras, and giraffes. The original plans for this attraction called for "live animals" to be present instead of Audio Animatronics animals, however real animals would tend to sleep during the day. During the entire attraction your skipper will be your guide and will provide you with jokes, and other information.  Located immediately to the left of Jungle Cruise is Sunken Ned's Junior Jungle Boats which are coin-operated remote controlled "jungle boats" which children (and adults) love to maneuver.

Pirates of the Caribbean
This attraction takes guests on a unique ten minute boat ride through a Caribbean town which is under attack by pirates. This attraction uses one of the most elaborate displays of Audio Animatronics ever used in a Disney attraction, which makes this one of the most enjoyed attractions at The Magic Kingdom. And then there is the theme song "Yo Ho, Yo Ho....A Pirates Life for Me" which you may be humming on your way out.

If it's a hot day and you need to cool down make your way to Pirates of the Caribbean which takes place underground and is air conditioned.

Tropical Serenade
Tropical Serenade has just recently reopened, under new management --Iago from Aladdin and Zazu from The Lion King. The new show combines a variety of new music and keeps some of the original songs such as the "The Tiki-Tiki-Tiki-Tiki-Tiki Room." This new show is getting mixed reviews, some people I talked to said that it was all right, but was missing something, others just did not care for it. The one thing most people are agreeing on is it is a vast improvement on the outdated original tiki room.
